How can I get involved?

This is a community plan written BY the people of North Weald Bassett FOR North Weald Bassett.

  1. Attend Public Meetings and Workshops: These events are often held to gather input from the community. Attending these meetings gives you the opportunity to voice your opinions, ask questions, and contribute ideas.
  2. Participate in Surveys and Consultations: Providing feedback through surveys and consultations helps ensure that the plan reflects the views and needs of the community. Your input is valuable in shaping the policies and proposals in the plan.
  3. Volunteer for Specific Tasks: There are many tasks involved in creating a neighbourhood plan, from data collection and analysis to organizing events and distributing information. Volunteering for these tasks can be a great way to contribute.
  4. Engage Online: Many neighbourhood planning groups use social media, websites, and online forums to share information and gather feedback. Engaging with these platforms can keep you informed and allow you to participate in discussions.
  5. Spread the Word: Encourage your neighbours and other community members to get involved. The more people participate, the more representative the plan will be of the community’s needs and desires.
  6. Review and Comment on Draft Plans: When draft plans are published for consultation, take the time to review them and provide your comments. This is a crucial stage where your feedback can lead to important revisions.
  7. Vote in the Referendum: Once the plan is finalized, it will be put to a community referendum. Voting in this referendum is your chance to have a direct say in whether the plan is adopted.

By getting involved, you can help ensure that the neighbourhood plan truly reflects the needs and aspirations of your community.  If you are interested, please contact the Parish Clerk on clerk@northweald-pc.gov.uk
