North Weald Bassett Parish Council

Thursday, 8th May 2025 is the 80th anniversary of VE Day. In commemoration, the Chairman of North Weald Bassett Parish Council will be reading the VE Day 80 Proclamation, and lighting the Lamp Light of Peace. This will take place at 9pm at the North Weald Airfield Memorial & Debt of Honour. Prior to this, at 8pm, there will be an unveiling of a memorial seat, in honour of VE Day 80 and recognising Arthur Moreton, the Royal Norwegian Airfield and links to North Weald Airfield.
