The Parish Council is a statutory consultee with regard to planning applications – in other words, the Local Authority is required to consult the Parish Council, and we are invited to make comments on any planning applications. It should however be noted that the District Council ultimately make the decision on all planning applications
Planning meetings are usually held on the first and third Monday of each month, at 7pm, Please check the relevant agenda for the time of the meeting, as this may change. These meetings are held on the Thornwood Common Parish Hall, Weald Hall Lane, Thornwood, Essex CM16 6NB. Members of the public are welcome to attend these meetings, subject to any COVID secure measures that are in place. Meeting are held subject to there being plans to discuss. If a particular Monday falls on a Bank Holiday, the planning meeting will normally take place on the following Monday.
